Prior to divorce, frustrations and disappointments mount. Most parents don't want to fracture a family unless it is really necessary. Once decided, a wave of feelings and thoughts abound. Then the official process of working with lawyers and court appearances adds further strife. Support and guidance is needed at this time.

ADULT THERAPY Working one on one is a collaborative, active process. Listening carefully to you is foundational, but that is just the start. Together, we can understand your situation and how to best effect lasting change. Going through a divorce stirs up all sorts of issues and in therapy we can gain a better understanding and plan to move forward in life. |
CO-PARENTING THERAPY
As much as adults want to be divorced they are faced with the reality of needing to co-parent for years to come. The challenge is keeping feelings for your partner in check while discussing plans and wishes for your children. Therapy offers a mediated opportunity to safely discuss these issues, while developing the ability to allow yourself to communicate in a respectful manner. Co-parenting therapy is critical to help your children best deal with divorce and the often conflicted feelings and grief that they may experience. Research is quite clear that the better the parents function in co-parenting, the better adjusted the children will be! |
